    matching advice

Slms Zakkiya. Really hope you can help me. My parents have moved from a house into a flat.they brought their old lounge suit into the lounge. Its pale pink leather.can you advise what colour cusions, throws, wall paper would complement their lounge suite? They asked another interior decorator who said they need to replace it - but its too expensive to purchase another lounge set.the floors are dark swiss parquet wood with a reddish tone.the walls and curtains are creamy beige.there's a lot f light in the flat -big windows.its a modern flat. Please help!

Slms and thanks for your query!

Pale pink is a fashionable colour at the moment as a part of a pastel colour palette.

Please check out the Ask Nanima forum pinterest board I've created to provide visuals for queries on this forum. Your pins are labelled "Matching Advice". http://www.pinterest.com/zakkiyak/as...r-drama-forum/

I would recommend going for tones of light grey for walls and a dark grey for a floor rug. If you would like to do an accent wall, I wouldn't suggest wall paper as your pink lounge set would be the main pop of colour in the space. I recommend a series of timber box shelves in different sizes with pastel colours at the back like this pin: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/224476362651437070/

I wouldn't over decorate the space with too much pattern. I recommend using white and greys for your throws and cushions with an occassional pastel toned cushion here and there in mint and pale blue. If you want to try something different, a small pop of lumo yellow will also look great in the space. Whether on a cushion edging or elsewhere, but it should be very minimal. Other than that, pink and white is another palette that won't send you on the wrong path. However, I do think you should mix it up with a pastel palette as pink and white could become a too feminine.

Hope I've helped and happy decorating to your parents!
