ear injury

While cleaning my sons ears(3yrs old) he managed to get hold of an ear bud and stuffed it quite deep in his ear,he started crying quite a bit-and only stopped after giving him some ibumol and finaly slept-there seems to be no fluid or blood leakage,I'm worried,could his ear drum have been ruptured,and should I see a Dr rather than wait and see

Definitely take him to see a doctor. The ear is a delicate area and it does not need to be cleaned using ear buds. This can cause impaction of wax. However, regarding the current injury, it is best to be safe and have his ear examined
