    musaffir

    Aslm. I currently reside in port shepstone however my family is in dbn. We travel to dbn most weekends and school holidays. Would I b regarded as a mussaffir when I'm in dbn. JazakAllah

    If a person sets out on a journey with the intention of travelling for 78km or more then in terms of Shariah he is considered to be a Musaafir (Shar’i Traveller). Since Durban is more than 78km away from Port Shepstone, you will be considered as a Musaafir and will perform Qasr Salaah( 2 Rakaats in Dhuhar, Asr and Esha)
