According to Tibb, gout is a Cold & Dry condition and will be aggravated by Cold & Dry foods. Samp, beans and trotters are all cold & dry foods and so will be detrimental to this condition. Gout is a condition where uric acid crystals deposit in the joints. Foods that break down into uric acid is your high protein foods. Because there's an acid component, stay away from foods that create acid in the body like sugars (including white flour products), fatty foods and heavily spiced foods (this does not include pure spices like jeera, chili spice etc. only spices that contain added preservatives and sugars). Try to avoid these foods especially during an acute attack of gout. Drink lots of warm water. For most Cold & Dry conditions especially those related to bones, joints and muscles I advise drinking 1tsp of olive oil and 1tsp of honey in a cup of warm water
