Halal/Muslim soup kitchens

Slms. Are there any halal/muslim food kitchens in South Africa? It's sad that although Islam teaches us so much about charity and giving, we see so few halal soup kitchens. Any ideas of how one would go about setting one up, and where would good locations be?

Slmz. In Port Elizabeth there is an organization, The POPS Foundation, that provides only halaal products to soup kitchens. It is run by a small group of volunteers, and is very active in many poor communities and households, Muslim as well as non-Muslim.
