    seeking clarity

    Assalamu Alaykum

Please can I get some clarity on a sistuation in the following context:

A wife is pregnant and is experiencing intense morning sickness (all day and even at night). As a result of her feeling ill - even marital relations are challenging as she is feeling quite ill. On a forum for pregnant muslim woman she asks what she can do as her husband is very miserable because of her inability to meet his needs. She is being admonished for this and the reasoning is justified by the following hadeeth.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"Whenever a man calls his wife to bed and she refuses to come, the angels curse her until morning." [Al-Bukhari]]

Would she really be punished considering her condition and would it not also be a duty for the man to be considerate of her condition?

    السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

I am not an aalim but just want to mention that that which you quoted also adds that only if the woman has no valid reason will she be cursed. In this case she has a valid reason because she is ill.
    And اللَّه knows best.
