Fajr Namaz

Assalmu Alaikum

Could you please let me know when is the latest you can pray Fajr?

I was told you can pray it up until sunrise, is this correct?

If not, what is the latest time before sunrise?

Walaikum Salaam

The time of the Fajr Salaah is from the break of dawn to sunrise. Thefore, the Fajr Salaah should be completed before sun rise ( i.e. the "top" edge of the sun is visible above the horizon.) The entire process of sunrise usually takes about 2 to 3min. During this time all Salaahs are prohibited.
