    mouth abrasions and watery eyes

hi....my dad aged 75 suffers from watery eyes and severe abrasion on his tongue and inner cheeks, he does use an asthma pump and rinses and gargles after use.
it is very painful....we have tried over the counter drops and gels but to no avail....any assistance will be appreciated..

According to Tibb philosophy, cracks on the tongue are often indicative of excess dryness in the body. If the tongue appears red then that would mean heat and if it has a purplish/blue discolouration that would mean cold. If it is a "Hot and Dry" tongue then adding more cooling foods like lettuce, cucumber, carrots etc is advised. Also avoiding hot and spicy foods will help restore balance. If it's a cold and dry tongue then drinking warm water with 1tsp of olive oil and 1tsp of honey before each meal will be helpful. He should also avoiding sour foods and tomatoes. Fried, oily and sugary foods should be avoided in both cases.

He should also take tissue salt No 9 (nat mur) from natura. he should start with 3 tablets a day and then after 2 weeks increase it to 5 tablets a day. He should allow it to dissolve in his mouth. This is not a quick fix, so he needs to give it some time to work. If he has high blood pressure, then he should take this particular number under the guidance of a tissue salt consultant
