    Male infertility

    Hi Dr Joy
My husband, 38 yrs has a low sperm count and poor morphology and we are desperately trying for a baby. He also suffers from acid reflux, Is there anything that he can do to improve it? Does tibb have anything for male infertility? Thank you

There are a number of products that your husband can use for infertility. Unfortunately most of these are not available over the counter. i would suggest that you see a Tibb practitioner so that they can determine the combination of meds that best suits your husbands needs. The products are supari pack, livotibb, neo and prosteez. Alternatively you can also try a product called fertility XY from feelgood health which you can order online. http://www.feelgoodhealth.co.za/fert...nfertility.php

Lifestyle also plays a factor in fertility treatment. So your husband should be encouraged to take up regular exercise, eat a well balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from sugar and fat rich foods. Cut down on the dairy intake. eat small regular meals. so 3 main meals and 3 snacks (which can be a fruit). Be intimate as often as possible and keep it fun. Anxiety and stress around trying to fall pregnant is often the cause of couples not conceiving.

He can also go for regular cupping sessions to stimulate his reproductive system. It is advise that both partners receive treatment

For acid reflux he should avoid eating hot, spicy oily foods. also cut down on coffee intake. No drinking fluids during meals. Wait 30 minutes before having anything to drink. No lying down after eating. Mint sweets can also aggravate acid reflux. Again small regular meals are advised. You can use acid free flux from feelgood health
