    Slms to all.
I am Nabeela, the life-coach consulting at The Living Studio. Often we try our best with our efforts for weight-loss but are so mentally demotivated that it affects our results. Never underestimate the potential of the right attitude and addressing the core reasons emotionally for not allowing ourselves to break the barriers and reach our weight-loss goals.
Consider seeing an NLP practitioner, like myself, to allow you to overcome obstacles that you are battling emotionally and may not be aware of. It is amazing what we can achieve with the correct mindset and suitable form of focus!
It is always a challenge, and it must be a very difficult journey to be on- together we can try our best to make it easier for you, inshaAllah.

    pcos and diabetic

    Assalamwailakum

I am also suffering from pcos with multiple cysts on both ovaries, diabetic due to the cysts, and battling to lose weight, despite exercising, and eating correctly.Kindly advice what is the best form of exercise, as well as time limitations in order to be successful , for weight loss? I have been drinking more than 2 litres of water. I have also heard that pcos sufferers should not eat carbs, please advice further?

    jazakallah in advance

slmz. I sense the frustration and would like to reassure you that "THIN" is not "NORMAL". society has made the concept of being thin normal and make women like you insecure. i agree, you need to lose some weight and that can be done. it is not impossible. many women with PCOS get bogged down by this diagnosis and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE.
another correction I need to make is that the insulin resistance is not the cause of the PCOS but the PCOS infact predisposes you to the insulin resistance. Note the term predisposes, you will not get it if you prevent it.
insulin resistance is a wake up call for a lifestyle change! stop eating sugars and carbohydrates and exercise and the insulin resistance goes away!
The PCOS unfortunately might not go away but can be controlled with an oral contracetive pill, giving you a bit more control over your your metabolism in order to make the changes needed. If you have children it already tells me it is mild to moderate PCOS so you still have control.
again, you need a multidisciplinary team and you are special in a way and need more professional help than most. Get you gynae or GP to hormonal control you with a pill. You will benefit from regular Vitamin B12 or Vitamin B complex injections as well (a tleast monthly). See a dietitian for an insulin resistance eating plan and FOLLOW IT or you will not succeed. see a life coach to help you over whichever food addictions you may have as well as find ways around the mental fatigue and block towards large amounts of exercise. consider a personal trainer so you can be checked up on and motivated constantly. make the change and get professional help. it is worth it.if you do not make the dietary change and exercise you will inevitably end up on insulin injections. remember to check your insulin levels 6-monthly as well as a thyroid function. if your levels go up, you will need to increase the glucophage.

    Hi There
I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages!
Weight loss is often best achieved by making a life style change. Eating healthier, exercising and indulging in 'treat' foods seldomly.
Try removing all trigger foods from the house. Start your day off with a healthy good breakfast. Reduce all added sugars (in tea and coffee) to 2 tsp a day.
Weight loss regimes are often much more successful if you can get professional help. I say this because eating habits are complex and vary from person to person. Since you are Insulin resistant, you have the risk of the developing into diabetes.
Consider getting professional help soon to help you lose weight and get you onto a more healthier lifestyle. You are welcome to email me for a consultation or i can even recommend someone in your area.
