View Full Version : Verbal abuse from owner after enquiring about bad workmanship

I sent in an oil heater to be fixed at *** at the end of last year.they replaced the theromostat at a rather considerable cost >however when I tried switching the heater on again it would warm up but then the MAINS use to trip and oil was leaking and pooling on the floor in a puddle.

My dad was afraid to take the heater back and so i called the Owner *** and tried to explain.I did not shout, scream or anthing like that, just explained and said that I was a bit upset at the workmanship, This MUSLIM Uncle started shouting and screaming at me that I have no right to be upset, he does not need my business and slammed the phone down on me.I called again asking him why he did that, and not to shout .he again screamed , yelled verbal abuse at me and slammed the phone down.I called again telling him there is no need to behave this way , as a muslim he should have some Ahlaaq> He once again slammed the phone down on me.

There is no point in trying to get my heater fixed and taking it to someone else < it will cost too much. its an oil fin Delongi .It will probably be better and more practical to just buy a new one >However I just wanted to warn others and I feel it is an absolute shame that this Man and so many others feel they can treat customers in such an appaling manner .But they will have to answer to The Creator.

Thanks for the warning, but would it not make sense to name the store in question.

we should make people aware of owners of these stores by naming the store. its sad when customers are treated like this and even more sad when we have forums like these but we are scared for the backlash.

Suggestion once again name the store so that the store can be made aware and that we need service NOT dis-service.
