Which are the best cardio exercise and weight lifting to continue at the gym when the tummy muscles walls have seperated and there is also a small ventral hernia.

I suggest a good 20 minute medium intensity walk !
Free weight exercises are a litle more tricky - what you want to achieve is isolation of specific muscle groups.
So bicep curls / overhead shoulder raises or tricep extensions while in a seated position will work best.
