Hi what Can I use for vaginal itchiness.

You may have a vaginal yeast infection. Try Canesten vaginal cream, which is available over the counter. If you are pregnant, please speak with your doctor first. Good genital hygiene is important in preventing yeast infections. Use mild, unscented soap; change the brand of pad if necessary; do not use deodorant or feminine spray; use cotton underwear.

Itchiness in your intimate areas may have many causes including bacterial vaginosis (this is the most common cause), candida, dermatitis, and menopause (vaginal dryness).

The above advise given should be followed. I would however discourage the use of any soap in your private areas as this changes the pH and provides an environment for the overgrowth of your normal flora.

You should also include a probiotic as part of you daily supplementation, or increase the intake of plain yogurt (this is a natural source of probiotics)
