8 yrs ago I fell pregnant.
My child is 7 now.
3 months after birth I had the mirena fitted. With the mirena, I did not experience a proper period only mild spotting every month for 4-8 days.
Last month I removed the mirena after having it in for 7 yrs.
I had a period shortly after. Bleeding was heavy as compared to my periods prior to pregnancy.
I have now started another period and bleeding is heavy again.
What I want to know, is if I should be concerned as both times, I have felt light headed, dizzy and nauseous and ringing in ears especially when goin to bathroom.
A lot of the time the bleeding is clumpy and clotty and bright red.
If I don't lie down quickly I pass out.
Is this just a psychological reaction ( to seeing blood) or should I speak to my doctor?
I don't normally feel faint at the sight of blood.
Thank you

You should definitely consult with you doctor regarding this abnormal bleeding. This may be an effect of the removal of mirena. You would probably need to take an iron supplement and possibly some coagulant medication as a loss of blood may have a negative impact on your health. Please go and visit your GP as soon as possible
