Swelling

Hi, I have been experiencing swelling and weight gain. At first my Dr suspected kidney stones----IVP and ultrasound were clear. We picked up blood in the urine on a dipstick test , but the microscopic results showed no blood in the urine.
The abdominal swelling is so bad that I look pregnant. What test should I have done for the swelling?
