fever blister during pregnancy

Hi

I am 17 weeks pregnant and this morning I noticed a fever blister on the corner of my top lip.are there dangers of having a fever blister during pregnancy??? What can I use that is safe to get rid of it?

Unfortunately many herbal and synthetic meds are contraindicated during pregnancy. The fever blister may have resulted from your immune response being low. You should increase your intake of vitamin C. Add more fresh garlic and ginger to your meals. Eat foods that will support your immune system and avoid those that will put extra stress on your body. There are a number of Tissue Salts that can be taken during pregnancy. However, you will need to have your needs assessed by a consultant.
