bright hands again

Please help! I made a beeg mistake, sum1 told me that in order to get softer hands in winter mix vaseline and lotion together well in worked but it made knuckles dark in colour and it looks horrible, what can I use to make it bright again!

You can use a a hand lotion that contains vitamin e, helps get rid of marks
The bes brand is nivea :)
