Ear ache

Hi.
My daughter is 6 yrs old.
She has over production of ear wax.
Its thick and very dark in colour.
I do not use ear buds or anything to remove. Usually little chunks are at the entrance of the ear and come out wen i bath her. This time however, the wax seems stuck inside. If you look you can see a lot of wax but further inside. She is complaining of pain and keeps fiddling wit her ears. How can i safely remove the excess wax? So she can hav relief.

To soften the wax you should put a few drops of sweet oil in her ears. You should pull the lobe down and out to straighten the ear canal so that the oil can seep down into the deeper parts of the ear. if after a week she is still experiencing pain and discomfort, then you should take her to see the paed to make sure there is no infection in the ear and to remove the wax safely
