Slmz. I just want to find out what's everyone's view on giving a wife spending money every month especially if she's a stay at home mum. Do you get a certain amount every month to do as you please or do you ask (borderline beg) your husband when it's time to buy. I personally have to ask every time and I hate it.

Aslm, Initially when I just got married we were very young and didn't have much with my husband being the sole provider so I wouldn't get anything, as time went on and my husband did better he gives me every month but with my amount I buy vegetables , meat , and daily necessities, how I budget will depend on how big my saving is, I am allowed to bank it or do what I want with it, alhams sometimes it's a big amount (700+)and other times little like 200 , that said I am more then happy. I now also work part time and I'm given the allowance still, I don't contribute to the household, if the need arises my husband knows I'll be most willing

If your husband can afford then he should give u a so called "Allowance" to do with as you please. On that note, if he sees that you wasting it on unnecessary things then that wont bode well for future spending :-) I'm a husband and I do give my wife an allowance as I feel a woman needs to buy herself or spoil herself in ways that pleases her. She doesn't earn cause she doesn't work but she takes care of the kids and our home. And that for me deserves credit. Think of it as hiring a nanny & housekeeper. You will pay them willingly SO pay your wives. For those men that prefer slaves, go hang yourselves. Be like the prophet cause simply put that's how you should be. Be kind to your woman.
